My Story
Why did you choose to run for re-election?
Enjoy my job with the city.
What is your platform?
To help improve our city in any way I can.
Main goal you would like to accomplish?
Goal to accomplish would be getting the city’s infrastructure problems under control, Seawall, harbor, streets, drainage.
What do you see as the city’s biggest problem and what solutions do you have?
The biggest problem facing our city is that we are out growing an antiquated water/waste water system, we currently are working on a new waste water plant that will help tremendously, however our treated water system is struggling to keep up with our growth also. Unfortunately this all relates to money, lots and lots of money . . . and all we can do, is all we can do.
What is the city’s best asset and how can it be better utilized?
The city’s best assets are our hard working city employees: Public utilities/wastewater, streets/drainage, solid waste, police and our wonderful city hall ladies.
Why should people vote for you?
Why should I be voted for? I am honored that people of Seadrift have trusted me to represent them as a councilman since 2017 and I would like to continue to serve them in that capacity. Since riding my bike down these old streets in ‘59, to riding these streets in my truck in ‘23, “Tha’Drift” is my home . . . and I luv’er!!!
