PORT LAVACA CITY COUNCIL – DISTRICT 1

There were two seats up on the Port Lavaca City Council, but only District 1 drew more than one candidate.

District 1 seat was left open when Jerry Smith decided not to run. Filing for the seat were Daniel Aguirre and Mike McGuire.

Allen Tippit Jr., who currently holds the District 3 seat, filed for reelection. His race was called as he was unopposed.

 

Early voting will be at City Hall, 202 N. Virginia St. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 24, Wednesday, April 26, and Friday, April 28, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, and Thursday, April 27. Hours for the last two days of early voting, May 1 and May 2, will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election Day voting will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall. The last day ballots by mail can be received is May 6 at 7 p.m. if not postmarked or Monday, May 8, at 5 p.m. if postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election.
